Physical medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) strives to improve health, functional performance and life quality for people who suffer from functional impairment or disability. It manages to treat or train physical disabled patients and help them use their remaining ability to live independently and develop their productivity.

The mission of our department is: (1) to educate medical students the basic knowledge of PM&R; (2) to train residents to become competent physiatrists in PM&R,; (3) to pursue the advanced knowledge and (4) to research in the field of PM&R.
